The building of Phil's farmhouse ruin
So I thought I'd upload some photo's of the first building that I built for Phil, many moons ago now.
I learnt a lot from this one and it was the first stepping stone to the other builds that I eventually did.
Being the self critical type of chap that I am, my only complaint was that it came out a little "clean looking" for a ruin. In reality there would have been a lot more rubble and debris from where the roof and walls had collapsed but I had to make the decision that it was a wargaming piece and if there were tons of rubble all over the place, there would be no room to place figures.
So here we go.
Heres how we started out. The building next to the shell is Phil's building that I borrowed for scale.
Here we are with most of the main structure done. Just the tiles and wall covering (PVA and sand) to go. I used a solid cutout wooden block for the chimney breast and lego bricks for the chimney pots. The rest was 10mm blue foam and balsa wood.
Here is the completed building with a lick of paint on it.
Next time i'll upload the building of the Phillipes cafe.

With that big hole at the end of the building, no one will be able to fire out of it as it has no windows! (old joke for Phil)
