Last night at the club

This is a moan !!

Last night I went to the club and there were only 4 of us there.

If people don't turn up to play toy soldiers AND pay their subs !! the club is going to fold, which would be a
shame, looking at how much effort we went to to set it up.

I appreciate the people sometimes have other things to do, but I detect a certain lethargy among some people
about organising games and making the effort to turn up and play.

There's plenty of games and plenty to do, make the effort on a Wednesday evening.

Controversy! Controversy! Haven't been able to turn up at club for a while, work, holidays more work, back in the saddle for a few weeks, enjoyed last weeks game and looking forward to tonight's AWI.

Here here we don't want to lose the club.

Although with chocolate on tap Recce will keep it going on his own. I would suggest mini biscuit packs too;)



I think as a special effort we should all pull the stops out and turn up next week the 9th April. All those not turning up should be considered slackers and obviously not committed to the club.

Some of us have been going to this club in its various guises since they were 13, 20 years now, give or take.

The fact that I haven't been able to make it to the club for the past month and may not be able to for the rest of this month (maybe) is no reason to consider me a slacker and not committed to the club.

Unfortunately Dan and I won't be able to make it this Wednesday - real life getting in the way...

I do agree that it's been a bit quiet at the club lately, with no more than 2 or 3 games being played most nights.

I wonder if it's that there is no single game system/period that most members play, which makes it difficult to organise tournaments or pick up games with more than the same regular opponents?

Maybe advertising the club on a more regular and structured basis might help? I have no experience of this type of thing though, so may be talking utter shite, as usual!

There are many other bette reasons to think this of you!
