Games being played at the club on Wednesday 13th June 2012

So what games are being put on next week?

List em in here chaps.............

I will be hosting a small game of The Uncharted Seas with my newly delivered starter fleets. I only have two fleets at present so will be a small two player game until I purchase more fleets. This match up will be between The Iron Dwarfs vs The Orc Raiders.

Let me know if your interested. Rules can be found on Spartan Games website in their downloads section.

I plan to use the 15 page rule book at this early stage. Once people become familiar with it I can extend the rules further by using the larger book which I believe incorporates and few other nasty surprises such as sea monsters etc.

I plan to get two more fleets at the end of the month and will run a 4 player game then, which having played a 4 player one before was a good laugh.

I've spoken to Tony Rodwell. He'd like to play "uncharted seas" as well.

Not surprisingly, he's got a fleet, which he'll bring with him.

Anyone playing Saga next week? Haven't played it yet and I wouldn't mind having a go if someone doesn't mind teaching me. Got Anglo Saxons I could bring along.

Neil - I got hold of the shroud mages fleet cheap (cheaper then maelstrom cheap) at Broadside. If its ok with you can I use these guys? Unfortunetly they wont be painted though :/

erm.... Im not sure whether to be frightened at the fact that I managed to paint the entire 10 ship starter set in an afternoon.... Normally I cant even manage 4 28mm models in that time They don't look half bad ether in my ever biased opinion

Great game tonight Ben, just read your last, I haven't been on the forum for a few days. Your fleet looked excellent mate but no rush in future, silver surfers are fine in my book, look at my fleet! I only had time to undercoat mine.

We managed to get a 2v2 4 player game in using 2x starter fleets of Iron Dwarfs and 2x starter fleets of Shroud Mages. Good battle, specially when the first shot from my Capital Ship was a critical, followed by a snake eyes roll on the critical hit chart, did some serious damage to the Shroud Mages and to us off to a good head start. The Shroud's then took a good kicking from the dwarfs after that and had to admit defeat.

Great game. I'll try and put the pics up this week.
