Up for anything.

Gaming wise, that is....

i am hoping to do better with bens 6mm crusading armies than i did last time out

i know some people arrange their own games , not necessarily through th eforum .
would it be useful if everyone tried to put games on the forum including how many tables needed. doesn't happen very often but sometimes the layout of the first sets of tables can make it tricky to fit others in . might save a bit of moving things about , sometimes , occassionally etc

it does sound almost a bit like a good idea. but i am a bit concerned with the material we have to work with . would we need training? have i fully considered the health and safety implications ?do we need a risk assessment ?
but if we all work together and make allowances for Liam i am sure we could do wonderful things!!!
any references to anyone real , imaginery , living or dead are completely coincidental . honestly .

ermmm... Defeat from the jaws of victory probably sums that up. Other then Steve extremely ruthlessly exploiting a small mistake from Lee I dont think his overall strategy was doing that much good up until the crusaders dissapeared after some archers.

it may have looked like i did not know what i was doing . that is because i did not . my cavalry seemed to just bounce off the crusaders. i had sort of given up to some extent . the double 1 that killed one of my units taking a division out of my line made it difficult to see how i could get back into it .
i was rather more lucky when some of lee's rolling to kill another cavalry unit with his massed archers was less effective than it should have been. a bit more luck and he would have killed that unit taking out my second division .
i was possibly even luckier when lee rolled a blunder pinning his reckless knights under my bow fire rather than letting them continue their rampage. . if either of these had gone the other way i would not have survived.
this left him unfortunately spread out and open to counter attack.

the counter attack also coincided with me buying some chocolate so perhaps i should have started on the chocolate earlier

very good game . i would say that though after the way it ended up !!!
